Head of Engineering & Manufacturing
Tel Aviv, Israel
We are looking for an experienced Head of Engineering & Manufacturing to join our team.
As the Head of Engineering & Manufacturing, you will lead a team of engineers in the development of our core products and technology from lab to pilot scale and full production scale and develop new technologies for future production methods.
Responsibilities:
- Guide and manage the engineering team in scale-up and manufacturing of our core technology from lab to pilot and production-scale
- Develop strategy for technical programs and scaleup strategy
- Manage the engineering team, assign tasks, priorities and responsibilities.
- Lead all technical aspects of process optimization and manufacturing expansion efforts (site selection, machine procurement, machine design, hiring)
- Hands on work and mentorship along with the engineering team
Requirements:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. (preferably MSc or PhD) in Engineering; mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or similar discipline.
- 7+ yrs experience as an engineering & manufacturing senior manager, or higher, preferably in food, medical device or pharma.
- Capable of navigating complex technical and team challenges.
- Ability to thrive in a diverse, multinational team.
- Proven experience in bringing multidisciplinary products from idea to scaleup and production.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing machinery, processes and operation
- Proven hands on experience and approach to machines production lines and manufacturing systems
- Excellent English and Hebrew (Including presentation skills)
- Proven experience managing teams and suppliers
The perfect candidate also has:
- Experience in the food, pharma, or fermentation industries
- Proven experience in building production lines
- Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and food safety
- Prior startup experience
